Founded by James Hayden Slack,  Back of the Woods has a wealth of experience in the Arboricultural and Forestry industry in the UK and overseas.  Our business boasts not only the practical expertise to undertake the most difficult of operations, but also the academic qualifications to match.

Mr Hayden Slack has been trained from grass roots, with a National Diploma in Arboriculture & Forestry, a BSc in Conservation & Forest Ecosystems and a Master's Degree in Environmental Management (MBA).  A passion for the natural environment led to the formation of the business with a clear vision of providing professional and reliable services for the maintenance and enhancement of the regions wooded landscape.

As standard practice we also exceed Domestic (BS3998:2010) & Commercial (BS5837:2012) British Standards.
