TREE SURGERY SERVICES
At Back of the woods, we provide a complete service across the arboricultural spectrum for both commercial and private clients. Our contracting works consists of felling, pruning, planting and cable bracing of amenity trees. A stump removal service is also provided.
Our tree felling service covers anything from the removal of small shrubs up to the largest trees, with minimal upheaval to the client and surrounding area.
Crown raising or lifting is the removal of the lowest branches of a tree. This is an effective method of increasing light passage on areas closer to the tree or to enable access under the crown.
This procedure will 'tidy' the crown of your tree. Removing all the deadwood, crossing/rubbing, diseased and wind damaged branches.
We can reduce the height and spread of tree crowns. This can reduce mechanical and environmental stresses on branches and whole trees, make the tree more suitable to its immediate setting and also reduce the effects of shading and light loss etc.
Crown thinning is an effective method of increasing light transmission through the tree, reducing wind resistance and reducing branch bearing weight. Achieved through the removal of select smaller/tertiary branches.
